SLOVAKIA | 2012 Meet the Misses e.7 - Miss Slovensko 2012

Slovakia became an independent nation in 1993 after the peaceful dissolution of Czechoslovakia. The nation is renowned for its mountainous landscape with flat areas in the south. The Carpathian Mountains traverse the north of Slovakia and the Danube river marks the diverse landscape. Another renowned natural landscape in Slovakia are the Tatra lakes which are called tarns. They are the eyes of the Tatras and together with the Tatra peaks create a picturesque scenery. Each of the tarns will fascinate the visitors with their specific color resulting from their location and the shade of the surrounding mountain background. Slovak nature is a big attraction for visitors from close and far away countries as well. Not only because more than the third of its territory is occupied by forests, but also because in a relatively small area you can find many different species of plants and vestures, out of which many of them are world unique. Slovakia debuted in Miss World 1993 but so far none of the contestants have made the semifinals. This year, Kristína Krajčírová, Miss Slovensko 2012, will be Slovakia's representative in Ordos. Will Kristina be Slovakia's first placement in Miss World?

The Times of Beauty proudly presents Kristína Krajčírová, Miss Slovensko 2012, in an exclusive interview for our interview series, Meet the Misses.

1. Give us an introduction of yourself, your country and your hometown.
My name is Kristína Krajčírová. I am 20 years old.  I am studying economics and  live in Bratislava. Our country is small but our history is very rich. You can find here lots of interesting places. We have beautiful mountains, castles and nature in general. My hometown is a beautiful city. It is capital of our republic and you can find here many historical buildings, old small streets and loads of green parks. I have an older brother.

2. What are your plans for the future?
After I come back from Miss World Pageant  I would like to continue in my studies. I also want to work as model, travel around the world and meet up with new people.

3. What are you most proud of?
I am proud that I won Miss Slovakia and now I can represent our country around the world.

4. Which activities make you lose track of time?

When I run I lose track of the time. It is time when I am on my own, I listen to the music and I don`t think about problems.

5. If somebody was describing your personality what would they say?
I think they would say that I am cheerful and honest person who likes to help the others. Well, I hope they would really say that. :)

6. What is something you know you do differently than the most other people?
When we talk about physical appearance I am taller than most of the girls and I think that my natural blonde hair makes me different too. I never thought I am any special or different. I try to behave the best way I can and never hurt anyone.

7. Have you done anything memorable lately?
Last January I found a dog near the road so I took her home. Unfortunately we did not have enough space for her so I had to find her a new home. Now she lives in a house with a big garden.

8. Which is worse, failing or never trying? Why?
I think worse is never trying. If you do not try something you will never know if you are successful or not. Life is full of challenges so if you  run away from them you will never achieve what you want. Better is to fail because that can show you a new direction of your life.

9. If you could teach anyone anything, what would that be?
I would probably take all of the world dictators to my class and would try to explain them what is love...

10. How do you define beauty? How will you prepare for Miss World to achieve your vision of beauty?

I think there is no definition of the beauty; everyone is beautiful but other way and everyone has different perceptions of beauty. The most important is how the people behave not how they look.

11. Share a message to your supporters and readers of The Times of Beauty.
I want to thank to Mr. Toledo for giving my a chance to share my feelings and opinions during this interview. I really appreciate the opportunity that a girl from a small country in a Central Europe could have this interview on this page. I hope that all the readers will enjoy it the same way I did during the time I was answering this questions. I would like to wish you all a health. It is said that health is not everything but without it  is everything nothing and I agree with this. Be happy, enjoy yourselves and let your dreams and passions to become real. I am traveling soon for Miss World Contest which I can not wait. I hope I will meet up with many interesting people there and when I come back I will have an opportunity to share all of my experience from this Pageant. Once again thank you and take care you all!!
