Amanda Victoria Vilanova Pérez (19, 1.73m, San Juan) was crowned Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico 2011 at the conclusion of the national pageant held at the Alejandro Tapia y Rivera Theater in San Juan. She will represent Puerto Rico at the 61st Miss World pageant on November 6 in London, England. The first runner-up was Janelee Chaparro (Barceloneta) and the second runner-up was Coral del Mar Casanova Calcerrada (San Sebastián). Xiomara Vélez Rivera (Caguas) and Tessy Lidell (Jayuya) completed the Top 5.

The group of semifinalists were Yaritza Llanos (Canóvanas), Tatiana Paola Marrero (Bayamón), Zarysma Marrero (Naranjito), Catalina Morales (Gurabo), Elizabeth Pacheco (Río Grande), Marielasofía Pennet (Dorado) and Victoria Zambrano (Adjuntas).

A series of competitions were held before the finals simulating the Miss World fast tracks. Tessy Lidell won the talent competition, Amanda Victoria Vilanova Pérez won the best body competition, Xiomara Vélez Rivera won the top model competition, Coral del Mar Casanova Calcerrada won the sports competition and Victoria Zambrano won the Beauty with a Purpose award. All of them obtained a spot in the semifinals of the pageant. In addition, a reality show called Lúcete para el Mundo was presented on Puerto Rico TV, and the overall winner was Janelee Chaparro.

 22 contestants competed for the Burlesque-inspired pageant which is one of the lowest, if not the lowest number of contestants in the history of the national pageant.
