News from Curaçao

The Willemstad International Beauties (WIB) is the organization in charge of Señorita Kòrsou, Curaçao's newest beauty contest. The national pageant will be held in July after a series of preliminary events and the winner will represent Curaçao in Miss World 2011 next December.

The organization promises to pave the way for young women to have opportunity of representing the island internationally in different international and regional pageants in addition of Miss World.

Former Miss World Curaçao 2008, Norayla Francisco, who graced the runways of Johannesburg by becoming one of the 10 finalists of Miss World Top Model, is the manager of WIB and executes the tasks stipulated by the president of GEMPIRE Inc, Gwendell Mercelina. The advisory council is presided by Henny Reinilla, director of ReProd.

As a true Miss World preliminary, the pageant will feature fast track events where contestants will have the chance of competing for the Beach Beauty, Top Model, Talent, Sports and Beauty with a Purpose awards. The contestants will be selected through national castings.
